These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the consulting, educational, and related services provided by The DIY Doctor, LLC (“Consultant,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

By purchasing, booking, or otherwise engaging with The DIY Doctor™, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not proceed with payment or participation in our services.

The DIY Doctor™ provides educational and consulting services to help homeowners plan and complete their own home projects safely and successfully.

We do not perform physical construction, installation, or repair work.

All guidance, materials, and recommendations are educational and advisory in nature.

Clients are solely responsible for verifying the safety, code compliance, and suitability of any methods, materials, or techniques used.

The DIY Doctor offers three tiers of service, each with defined deliverables published on our website and booking pages:

• Triage Session: An initial consultation to assess your project and outline recommended next steps.
• Treatment Plan: A detailed DIY project plan that may include material suggestions, sequencing, and milestone guidance.
• Full Recovery: Comprehensive consulting and ongoing project support through completion.

All services are advisory only. You are responsible for performing your own work and ensuring it complies with applicable laws and standards.

If your project turns out to be more complex than your selected service tier allows, we may recommend or require an upgrade before continuing.

You will always be informed and may choose to accept or decline.

If you decline, our services may be limited to what’s appropriate for your original tier or may end without further obligation.

At our discretion, payments made may be credited toward an upgraded service.

Appointments are scheduled in advance through our booking platform.

• Rescheduling: At least 24 hours’ notice is required.
• Late Cancellations or No-Shows: Less than 24-hour notice results in forfeiture of the booking deposit or full session fee.
• Consultant Rescheduling: If we must reschedule, a new appointment will be offered promptly.

Session time begins at the scheduled start time whether or not you join promptly.

All payments are due in full at the time of booking unless otherwise stated.

Payments are non-refundable once consultation work or material preparation has begun.

A non-refundable booking deposit is required to secure your consultation or project planning session.

This deposit reserves your appointment time and ensures preparation of your personalized materials.

Deposits are credited toward the total service cost once your session begins or your planning materials are delivered.

If you cancel, fail to attend, or reschedule with less than 24 hours’ notice, the deposit is forfeited in full.

Remaining balances (if applicable) are due prior to delivery of final materials, follow-up sessions, or upgraded tier services.

By submitting payment or deposit, you agree that payment itself constitutes acceptance of these Terms.

Late payments, chargebacks, or reversals may result in suspension of services and recovery of all associated costs, including collection fees and attorney’s fees.

You agree to:

• Perform your own work safely and in compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
• Obtain required permits and inspections where necessary.
• Provide accurate information, photos, and descriptions of your project.
• Use qualified, licensed professionals for work that requires specialized credentials or permits.

You assume full responsibility for all decisions, actions, and results of your project.

The DIY Doctor, LLC is not responsible for injuries, damages, or losses that occur during or after your project.

We agree to:

• Provide honest, experience-based advice and educational guidance.
• Act with reasonable care and professional diligence in preparing materials and recommendations.
• Clearly communicate when a task or project may require licensed professional involvement.

We do not act as your contractor, engineer, architect, or project manager and will not perform or oversee any physical construction work.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, The DIY Doctor, LLC’s total liability for any claim arising from these services is limited to the total amount paid by you for the service in question.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including property damage, delays, or injuries that may occur from your project or the use of our advice or materials.

Every project and client is different. We make no promises or guarantees regarding project outcomes, results, or timelines.

All advice and materials are provided “as-is,” without any express or implied warranties of success or performance.

DIY work can involve real risk. You are solely responsible for determining whether a project is within your capability, following safety procedures, and complying with local building codes.

We strongly recommend consulting licensed professionals when appropriate.

All materials, templates, plans, videos, or guides provided through The DIY Doctor™ are owned exclusively by The DIY Doctor, LLC.

You are granted a personal, non-transferable license to use these materials for your own project only.

You may not copy, share, distribute, or sell them without written permission.

We respect your privacy and will keep your personal and project information confidential.

We may share non-identifying summaries or anonymized examples for educational or promotional purposes.

We may end services at any time for non-payment, unsafe behavior, or violation of these Terms.

You may cancel at any time, but refunds are not guaranteed once services have begun.

Upon termination, you may retain any materials already delivered for personal use only.

We believe in resolving issues professionally and in good faith.

If a dispute arises, both parties agree to attempt informal resolution first.

If not resolved, disputes shall be submitted to mediation or binding arbitration in Greenville County, South Carolina, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

Each party is responsible for its own legal costs unless otherwise determined by the arbitrator.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

We may update these Terms periodically.

The “Effective Date” above shows the current version.

Your continued use of our services after an update means you accept the new Terms.

The DIY Doctor™ is a professionally insured DIY consulting and education service.

We provide expert, experience-based guidance to help homeowners plan and execute their own improvement projects safely and successfully.

All consulting is advisory in nature and does not involve construction, contracting, or physical work.

Recommendations are for educational purposes only and may not replace the need for licensed professionals or code compliance verification.
